SilenX iXtrema CPU Cooler Review January 28, 2005
Hi Zakris.
You should be OK -- the frame was well out of reach of thecapacitors. The cooler itself rides very high in the case (relative to the motherboard).
Hope this helps.
Best,
Chris

Hi!
In the article about SilenX iXtrema CPU Cooler, dated January 28 2005and publish at www.sysopt.com, You used a FIC AU31 motherboard which is the motherboard in the eMachines T2865 system. There are a number of big capacitors about 2/3" from the cpu socket, which seems to interfere with the mounting frame to the heatsink.
Was is difficult to install theheatsink, when the mounting frame seems to be just above the capacitors? Or was the frame out of reach of the capacitors, if the distance between the motherboard and the frame is bigger then the height of the capacitors (9/10") or if the frame is smaller than the distance between thecapacitors and the socket?
Best regards
Zakris
